About Us

The Ben Avery Clay Crushers, one of the first Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) teams formed in Arizona, was formed in 2005. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit youth team development program that engages certified shotgun coaches to teach the clay target shooting sports of trap, skeet, and sporting clays. Our program focuses on safety and the proper use of hunting related equipment such as shotguns to teach the life skills of self-discipline, teamwork, ethics and self-confidence. Team members may participate in any or all of the clay target disciplines. 

Our program currently has approximately 100 youth ages 9-18 involved making us one of the largest SCTP teams in Arizona. We are proud to have many athletes with muliple state, regional and national championships.
